Police on Oct. 17 arrested a 57-year-old New Canaan woman and charged her with disorderly conduct.
At about 7:58 p.m., officers responded to a local residence on a dispute between the arrested woman and victim, according to a police report.
Through an investigation, police established probable cause to bring the misdemeanor charge. Under state law, people are guilty of disorderly conduct if they “with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk … [e]ngages in … threatening behavior; or … annoys or interferes with another person,” among other reasons.
Police withheld details of the Oct. 17 incident, saying it was a domestic matter.
The woman was released after promising to appear the next day in state Superior Court.
