As per a write-up submitted by Jennifer Crowley: The team dominated the first two games, beating Chappaqua (5-0) and Fairfield (4-0). The third and final game clinched the tournament win against the home team, Ridgefield (4-2). Coach Barry Beattie led his team to victory with the help of goalkeepers: Pia Bausman, Clare O’Shea and Reagan Thom. Alternating between forward and striker, Addie Crowley and Tessa Riley took command with strong and dominating midfield positions played by Ava Cook, Lyla DeGaetano, Darian Dimuzio, Brooke Garcia, Adelaide Tuff and Pia Bausman. Goals were scored by Bausman, Crowley, Darian Dimuzio and Riley. Defenders played by Libby Besgen, Charlotte Moor, O’Shea, Lilly Sommers and Thom controlled their opponents and provided a solid barrier to the goal.
Nice work, Lou Kozar. That was a great thing to do.
