American Revolutionary War historian Eric Chandler will speak to the New Canaan Men’s Club Friday when it meets at Morrill Hall in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with Chandler expected to speak to the group around 10:40 a.m., following the business portion of the meeting.
Chandler has been involved in American Revolutionary War Living History since 1974. In that time, he has portrayed infantry, light infantry, whale-boat raider and both mounted and dismounted dragoons. Currently, he serves as lieutenant and adjutant of “Sheldon’s Horse” 2nd Regiment Continental Light Dragoons.
In past presentations, he has described Revolutionary history to the Danbury Museum Historical Society, the Norwalk Historical Society, the Museum of Darien and the National Historic Site, National Park Service. He is a member of the Norwalk Historical Society Board of Directors and serves on the City of Norwalk Historical Commission.
