Earth Day Wildlife Release and Guided Walk
Join the New Canaan Canaan Land Trust and Wildlife in Crisis as we celebrate Earth Day with a guided walk and wildlife release. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. At 5pm, we'll hit the trail for a short guided walk, led by NCLT Director, Aaron Lefland. Meadow Butterfly Walk
Join us for a guided walk with expert lepidopterist, Victor DeMasi, on Saturday, August 21st at 10am. We’ll learn about the many different butterflies and pollinators that can be found in our region, and ways to promote the habitats that are critical to their survival. The walk will be held at the Livingston-Higley Preserve, which is home to one of the Land Trust’s largest meadows. Last Saturdays on the Trail with New Canaan Land Trust
Join New Canaan Land Trust and cross off a hike off the Winter Hiking Challenge and enjoy some donuts, coffee and hot chocolate! Meet at the Livingston-Higley entrance (Apple Tree Lane) at 10am on Saturday, Jan. 31st. As this is a winter hike, dress for the occasion as trails will be snow covered. Free coffee, donuts and hot chocolate will be available for hikers.
