Herbert Bruce Taylor

July 31, 1928 – November 1, 2025

Herbert Bruce Taylor of New Canaan, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1928, to the late Leroy Taylor and Evelyn Fiddner Taylor. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George Taylor and Kenneth Taylor, and his sisters, Ethel Naslund and Joan Taylor. He is survived by his nieces, Cheryl Douglas, Pamela Solberg, and Kristen Proulx. Herbert was educated in the Bethel, Connecticut, school system and at Danbury State Teachers College.

Virginia Marie Ciccone Koch 

March 26, 1939- October 25, 2025

It is with deep love that we celebrate the extraordinary life of Virginia Marie Koch (affectionately known as Ginny), a woman of unwavering faith and boundless compassion. Virginia’s life was a testament to the power of love, service, and devotion. Born in 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, Virginia was the fifth of eight children in a close-knit Italian-American family. Her parents instilled in her the enduring values of faith, humility, and perseverance—principles that guided her throughout her life. She remained a devout Catholic, finding strength and joy in her faith every day of her journey.

Brian Gerard Kammerer, 72

Brian “Bri” Kammerer passed away on October 1st with family by his side, after a lengthy illness. Born on December 13, 1952 in Manhattan to the late H Joseph Kammerer and Maureen Dufficy Kammerer, Brian grew up in Bronxville, NY where he attended St Joseph School, Fordham Prep and later graduated from Bronxville High School where he participated in sports and excelled in the art program. During his school years he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Scouts BSA program representing significant dedication and leadership. He attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, History and Film.  It was at Denison that he created his first film on the Civil War, a life long interest and passion. Upon graduation Brian began his art career at a division of Columbia Pictures, a film studio in New York City.

Susan S. Jones, 84

March 3, 1941 – October 15, 2025

Susan Stoner Jones of Naples, FL, and formerly of New Canaan, CT, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. Born Susan Keith Stoner on March 3, 1941, to Seth Haines and Neva Binkley Stoner, she was raised in Bristol, CT with her two brothers. Growing up, she spent her winters on the ski slopes of New England and her summers in the woods of Maine at Camp Wyonegonic. During her sophomore year of high school, Susan studied abroad in Munich, Germany where she skied the Alps as often as possible. She then attended St.

Katherine McIntosh Heyn

Katherine McIntosh Heyn passed away on April 20, 2025. 

The second child and eldest daughter of William McIntosh and Joan Burris Heyn, she was born on July 4, 1973 in Evanston, Illinois. Katie’s birth on Independence Day was always a source of fun for the Heyn family, with the exception of her earliest years when her older brother could not understand why he didn’t get fireworks and a town-wide party for his birthday. Katie moved from Winnetka, Illinois to New Canaan in 1978 with her family. She graduated from West School and Saxe Middle School. Katie loved ice hockey growing up and played on the very first girl’s hockey team at the New Canaan Winter Club.
