(The company that installed the windscreens was scheduled to come back early this week to fix the fence at no cost to the town.)

The former New Canaan Public Schools lunch lady who has brought a lawsuit saying that her ex-boss created a hostile work environment is upping the number of witness depositions in the case from nine to 15, according to a filing Friday.

We’re hearing that the new day spa on East Avenue just down from Main Street will be called ‘Ciel Eau.’ We’re also hearing that’s French for “Sky Water,” that the new business will offer massage, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures, and that a midsummer opening is planned.

The Board of Ed on Monday voted unanimously to set Thursday, June 18 for graduation. The ceremony is to be held at 5 p.m. at Dunning Field. (The rain date would be the following day, which also is the last day of school as of now.) Here’s our video from last summer’s NCHS graduation:

West School reopened as district officials had hoped on Monday. Administrators closed the school on April 1, the day before the break, after a custodian early in the morning discovered more than four inches of water in the boiler room. Last week, officials cleaned up the water, which did not impact classrooms or student-accessible spaces, administrators said.

We’re hearing that the New Canaan Tax Collector’s office recently received back a letter that was returned through the U.S. Postal Service. Word is, the envelope’s postmark shows that the letter originally had been sent five years ago.
