The New Canaan High School volleyball team hosted a month-long Dig Pink campaign—a program of Side Out Foundation, where v-ball teams dedicate games and events to help raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. The effort culminated with the team’s Dig Pink Rally during its Oct. 8 home match against Stamford. The team is hoping to reach its $5,000 target (more info here).

Waveny LifeCare Network announced this week that it’s been awarded LeadingAge Connecticut’s Social Accountability Award for The Kathleen M. The New Canaan Building Department on Oct. 5 received an application to demolish the 1947-built, ranch-style home at 59 Douglas Road. The property had gone into probate in June, tax records show.
