The Fire Commission during a special meeting held Feb. 19 voted 3-0 “to reprimand the chief for placing Engine 4 in service when it was not certified, to be confirmed in a letter as discussed in executive session,” Chair Bob Fields said. The appointed body’s discussion regarding the chief, who has been cited for issues in the department, was held out of the public eye, as allowed by state law in personnel matters. In addition to Fields, Commissioners Sven Englund and Mike Socci voted in favor of the reprimand.
