Police on Oct. 4 arrested a 50-year-old New Canaan man and charged him with disorderly conduct.
At about 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 4 (a Saturday), officers responded to a Marvin Ridge Road house on a report of a dispute, police said.
There, officers established probable cause for the misdemeanor charge, according to a police report.
The man was arrested and taken to headquarters for processing.
Police withheld details, saying it’s a domestic matter.
Under state law, people are guilty of disorderly conduct if they “with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk … [e]ngages in … threatening behavior; or … annoys or interferes with another person,” among other reasons.
Police released the man after he promised to appear Oct. 6 in state Superior Court. His arraignment is now scheduled for Dec. 2, according to Connecticut Judicial Branch records.
