Police last Monday arrested a 33-year-old Stamford man on a number of drug- and motor vehicle-related charges following a traffic stop on New Norwalk Road.
At about 5:14 p.m. on March 6, an officer on patrol spotted a vehicle with no front license plate, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer found that the driver’s license had been suspended and the vehicle itself unregistered, the report said. An investigation also turned up more than .5 ounces of marijuana, it said.
Police charged the man with possession of more than .5 ounces of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to display a registration plate.
He was released after promising to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
