Police after midnight Wednesday arrested a 45-year-old Wilton man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 1:25 a.m. on Feb. 16, an officer on patrol spotted a vehicle stopped the eastbound lane of Little Brook Road, according to a police report.
A man was asleep in the driver’s seat, the report said.
On waking the man up and speaking with him, the officer found signs of impairment, it said.
After administering field sobriety tests, police took the man into custody on the misdemeanor charge, the report said. At headquarters, the man provided a sample that established his blood-alcohol level at .151, nearly twice the legal limit.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear March 3 in state Superior Court.
