Congratulations to New Canaan’s Lily Codd and Hutton Saunders, who will continue their swimming careers at college in the fall, according to a press release issued by the Chelsea Piers Athletic Club. They’re among 20 student-athletes on the CPAC swim team who will go on to NCAA athletics as swimmers. Code will go to Williams and Saunders to Columbia, the press release said.

The “Selectmen’s Comments” meeting agenda item has been restored for the Board of Selectmen, according to the elected body’s Feb. 22 agenda. After First Selectman Kevin Moynihan removed it as a standing item without the knowledge of his counterparts on the Board, Selectmen Kathleen Corbet and Nick Williams voted 2-0 last week to put it back.

A credit card and driver’s license found in the area of 40 Maple St. were turned in to police at about 12:21 p.m. on Feb. 11.

A bank on Feb. 9 filed eviction papers in state Superior Court in connection with a Bald Hill Road property, records show, saying in a complaint that its occupants were supposed to leave the property Jan. 30 following a judge’s order of strict foreclosure.

The children at St. Mark’s Preschool recently delivered Valentines to the towns essential workers. Each year, the children create Valentines to give to essential workers in the town. The Valentine’s Day tradition was particularly special this year as firefighters from the New Canaan Fire Department pulled into St. Mark’s on Engine No. 1 to visit with the children and receive their gifts. In the photos, Emily Basaran‘s “Twos” class delivers their handmade Valentine and stops for a photo in front of Engine No. 1.
