Police after midnight Friday arrested a 20-year-old Wahackme Road man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 12:43 a.m. on June 15, an officer on patrol clocked a vehicle traveling 60 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to a police report.
The officer pulled over the car on Heritage Hill Road and detected signs of impairment in speaking to the driver, the report said.
The motorist failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a blood-alcohol content test, it said.
Police took the man into custody and processed him at headquarters, where they additionally cited him for speeding.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear June 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
