Police before dawn Monday arrested a 23-year-old Hoyt Street man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 3:58 a.m. on Aug. 31, police were dispatched to a Hoyt Street home on a report of a motorist crashing a vehicle repeatedly into the house and fleeing the scene, officials said.
Officers found the man driving the vehicle on Main Street near Morse Court, according to a police report.
During a stop, police detected signs of impairment, the report said.
Police charged him after administering field sobriety tests, it said.
At police headquarters, the man refused to provide a sample that could be tested to establish his blood-alcohol level, the report said.
He additionally was cited for driving without a license.
Police released the man on $250 bond and scheduled him to appear Sept. 22 in sate Superior Court.
