Police on Monday morning arrested a 59-year-old man by warrant in connection with a road rage incident last month.

The incident occurred Nov. 13 near the entrance to New Canaan Country School on Frogtown Road, according to a police report.

The victim had been waiting in a car in a pickup line for the school when the man, a Stamford resident, boxed in the victim’s vehicle and exited his own car, the report said.

The man walked to the victim’s vehicle and tried to open the driver’s side door while yelling, it said.

The victim was fearful of what the man might do, the report said.

The man was upset about how the victim had been driving on Ponus Ridge, it said.

Following an investigation that included a review of video surveillance footage, as well as witness statements, police obtained a warrant to charge the man with second-degree breach of peace.

He turned himself in on the misdemeanor charge at about 8:29 a.m. on Dec. 29.

Police released the man after he promised to appear Jan. 29 in state Superior Court.
