Police on Tuesday morning arrested a 46-year-old New Canaan man by warrant in connection with a crash at God’s Acre in December.
At about 10:58 a.m. on Dec. 10, officers were dispatched to Main Street and St. John’s Place on a report of a single-car crash into a utility pole, police said.
After gathering evidence, witness statements and the result of a toxicology report, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for the Heritage Hill Road man on charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving operating an unregistered motor vehicle and illegal operation of a motor vehicle without minimum insurance.
The man turned himself in to police at 10:34 a.m. on Feb. 4.
He was released after promising to appear Feb. 18 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
