Saturday, May, 7, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
FreeSpring is in the air, and that means it’s time for the annual RVNAhealth Wellness Fair. During COVID we all fell behind on our health screenings, now is perfect opportunity to get caught up and get a fresh start for the Spring. Scheduled for Saturday, May 7, from 10am to 2pm at East Ridge Middle School in downtown Ridgefield, the Wellness Fair will have a variety of health screenings including: cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and anemia, hearing, balance posture, podiatry, and carotid artery scans. You’ll receive detailed test results that you can take with you – no fee, no appointment, and no insurance card needed! Additionally, COVID-19 boosters will be available, Pfizer for age 12 and up & Moderna for age 18 and up.
The event brings together RVNAhealth’s clinicians with other local experts in a variety of fields. It is made possible through the generous donations of sponsors, including Fairfield County Bank, The Greens at Cannondale and Wilton Meadows, Homecare HomeBase, The Vascular Experts, Casey Energy, Glen Hill Center and Ridgefield Station. “Health screenings, which are known to prevent disease, have taken a hit over the past two years,” says Laura Shulman Cordeira, Director of Community Health and Wellness at RVNAhealth. “Uninsured or underinsured Americans, including those with Medicaid, continue to fall behind on these screenings, even more than pre-pandemic. Here at RVNAhealth, we want to provide access to these services, regardless of insurance status or one’s ability to pay. Our annual Wellness Fair is not only an enjoyable day, but also a great opportunity for our community members to get their health back on track and get connected to services that further their wellbeing.”
RVNAhealth has been caring for the community for over 100 years, and the Wellness Fair has been an important part of our history. We’re proud to be able to bring these dedicated professionals together in one place and encourage everyone to take advantage of what the day has to offer.
And it’s all Free!
The RVNAhealth Wellness Fair is free, open to the public, and no appointments are necessary.
