The First Presbyterian Church Choir and soloists will be joined by a chamber orchestra for the music ministry’s annual Christmas concert on Sunday, December 16, at 4 p.m. The candlelit concert, under the leadership of Music Director Victoria Shields, will feature Camille Saint-Saëns’s “Christmas Oratorio,” as well as congregational carols. A champagne reception to celebrate the season will follow the music. The concert is free and open to all, but a freewill offering to aid those affected by the California wildfires will be taken and distributed through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, which is working with Santa Barbara Presbytery, Sacramento Presbytery, and the Presbytery of the Pacific.
