As superintendent, Dr.Luizzi has overseen the implementation of unique programs designed to benefit students at all grade levels, including the development and implementation of the high school’s alternative learning program, the district’s elementary Literacy Academy and the renovation of the high school’s planetarium into The Dome, an immersive learning theater serving all grades.

In addition to his program work, Dr. Luizzi has also continued to keep the district at the height of innovation, overseeing building updates to each of the district’s schools, including Saxe’s Design Lab, a center of innovation for the middle school’s STEM-related classes, and the high school’s Makerspace and Virtual Reality Lab. These forward-thinking spaces allow students to create, problem solve and learn utilizing today’s modern technology.
