Men’s Club to Learn Health Impact of Heart’s Electrical System
Friday, October, 6, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
The New Canaan Men’s Club will learn about the heart’s electrical system and how it can affect a patient’s longevity and quality of life in remarks by Dr. Joshua Lader, a cardiac physician with Stamford Health, at its meeting Friday (Oct. 6) in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
The meeting will get underway at 10 a.m. with Dr. Lader’s talk beginning around 10:40 a.m., after the business portion of the meeting.
Dr. Lader is a fellowship-trained cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who received his medical degree from New York University. He completed his residency in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and another in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
In his biography, Dr. Lader explains he was drawn to the field while conducting research aimed at explaining the molecular underpinnings of atrial fibrillation. When changes in lifestyle are unsuccessful in treating the condition, research in electrophysiology may lead to treatments and prevention by targeted molecular treatments.
At Stamford Health, Dr. Lader provides an array of diagnostic and therapeutic courses for heart rhythm management, supported by Stamford Health’s multidisciplinary capabilities. “It’s a rapidly advancing field with continuously emerging technologies and approaches,” he says, “all of which can have an immediate impact on patients’ longevity and quality of life.”
The Men’s Club has openings for new members, men 55-years old and above. For information email: ncmens@ncmens.club
