New Canaan Land Trust Annual Meeting

The New Canaan Land Trust invites its members and the community to its annual membership meeting on November 9th at Grace Farms. Founded in 1967 by Jack Gunther, Elise Latham and Mary Lib-Katzenbach, the Land Trust will recognize the milestone of its 50-year legacy of acquiring, protecting and stewarding open space in New Canaan at the meeting. Now comprised of 70 properties and easements, totaling just under 400 acres, the conservation organization will review its recent accomplishments and outline its vision for the forthcoming year.

Adrian Benepe, who served as New York Park Commissioner for 11 years prior to joining The Trust for Public Land as SVP and Director of City Park Development in 2012, will share his perspectives on public space conservation as the guest speaker. Art Berry, NCLT’s Board President, Tom Cronin, Treasurer and Aaron Lefland, Executive Director, will provide updates of the accomplishments of the past year and plans for 2018 and beyond.
