New Canaan’s 250 Celebration Parade

On Saturday, June 27 at 9:30 a.m. the America250 New Canaan Parade will step off
from the Lumberyard Lot on Elm Street and proceed along the parade route (Elm to
South Avenue) ending at Saxe Middle school. The best viewing will be along the
sidewalks of South Avenue from Elm Street to Farm Road
Featured will be decorated floats, honored guests, colonial attired local groups,
vintage cars, Shriner cars, Our Town Band and fife & drum corps to name a few.
Many local organizations are participating in this once in a lifetime event!
The Rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 28 beginning at 1 p.m.
Coincidentally, 2026 marks the 225th anniversary of New Canaan’s incorporation in 1801. As part of America’s semiquincentennial celebration, the New Canaan events
are highlighting the town’s history, civic leadership and enduring patriotic spirit.
