Silver Hill President describes past, future of mental health at Men’s Club
March 7 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Dr. Andrew J. Gerber, Silver Hill’s president and medical director, will speak to the New Canaan Men’s Club at its March 7th meeting in remarks titled, “The Past and Future of Mental Health.”
As part of that approach, Dr. Gerber will describe how Silver Hill’s emphasis is on putting the patients first. “First and foremost, our patients need to be heard,” he states on Silver Hill’s website. “They need to be listened to and understood by professionals who know something about what they’re going through and who can help them feel better.”
The Men’s Club will meet at 10 a.m. in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge. Dr. Gerber’s talk is slated to begin at 10:40 a.m.
At Silver Hill, Dr. Gerber oversees day to day operations of inpatient, residential, outpatient levels of care, as well as nursing, research and education.
Dr. Gerber received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.
