Police on Friday night charged a 16-year-old New Canaan girl with an infraction offense after coming upon an underage drinking party at her house.
At about 9:11 p.m. on Oct. 6, officers received an anonymous tip regarding a juvenile party at a Butler Lane home, according to a police report.
Arriving, officers saw multiple juveniles run into the woods and in the back yard found 30 cans of Bud Light, an empty Smirnoff vodka bottle and several red Dixie cups arranged on a table in beer pong style, the report said.
The teen was cited for failure to halt possession of alcohol.
Police withheld her name because of her age.
