Police arrested a 17-year-old New Canaan girl accused of sending sexually explicit photos and texts to a 13-year-old New Canaan boy.
The teen turned herself in on March 4 on felony charge of Risk of Injury to a Minor/Impairing the Morals of a Minor.
Police withheld her name because of her age.
According to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department, the boy’s parents at about 1:22 p.m. on Jan. 21 found the photos and texts on his cellphone. Police investigated and obtained a warrant to search the girl’s cellphone, and they found more photos and texts on it, Ogrinc said.
She was released on a promise to appear March 11 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court.
