Police on Saturday arrested a 61-year-old Parish Road South man after he smashed in the window of a Federal Express truck parked on Ponus Ridge.
At about 1:30 p.m. on June 18, officers were dispatched to Ponus Ridge in the area of Adams Lane on a report of a dispute between the man and the FedEx driver, police said.
The man had been driving south on Ponus Ridge when a vehicle entered his travel lane because the FedEx truck was stopped making a delivery, according to a police report.
The man told police that he was upset about where the FedEx driver had parked the truck, the report said.
He stopped his own vehicle, yelled at the driver and ended up slamming his hand into a window on the FedEx truck, shattering it, police said.
Police found the man at his home and issued him a summons for second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
He is scheduled to appear June 29 in state Superior Court.
