Town officials on Aug. 3 received an application to build a new 6,500-square-foot home on a vacant lot on Mariomi Road.

The house planned for the 1.09-acre lot at 130 Mariomi Road will include five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, one half-bath, a four-car attached garage and partially finished basement, the application said.
It will cost about $500,000 to build, it said.
The contractor on the job is the property owner, and the architect is Darien-based Charles Saverine, the application said.
The property had been purchased in June for $460,000, tax records show.
