The New Canaan Building Department on Monday received an application to build a six-bedroom home on a vacant 4.33-acre parcel on Smith Ridge Road.

The new home planned for 729 Smith Ridge Road also including six bathrooms, six bathrooms, finished attic and basement and three-car garage, the building permit application said.
It will cost an estimated $925,000 to build, the application said.
The property’s owner, Ridgefield-based Nordic Builders Inc., is listed as contractor on the job. The architect is ARCH Design Services of Woodbury.
The property had been purchased in December 2014 for $1.5 million.
