Town officials on Tuesday received an application to build a 3,582-square-foot home on White Oak Shade Road.
The building permit application identifies the site as “Lot 155”—assessor records appear to identify the street address as 239 White Oak Shade Road, a vacant 1.07-acre parcel set back from the road just a few houses north of Horton Lane. (The same individual owns the vacant parcel and an adjacent 2.36-acre property that includes a 1947-built Colonial, tax records show.)
The new construction will have 13 rooms, the application said, including three bedrooms and four bathrooms, according to the application.
It will be built by Tallman Segerson Buliders of Fairfield, and the architect on the job is The Barn Yard of Ellington, the application said.
The new home will cost about $975,000 to build, it said.
