The owner of a full-service hair salon that’s already seen great success in its first Fairfield County location is planning to open on Main Street in New Canaan.
Liz Arindell, owner of Luscious & Co., said the space at 107 Main St. “will feature a beautiful environment where our guests can entrust their hair, color, and extension needs with our expert staff.”
“With ammonia-free color, a healthy hair promise, and an eye for excellence, we think you’re going to love it here,” Arindell told NewCanaanite.com in an email when asked about the new local business.
Arindell said she’s “so excited to be a part of this amazing community.”
Luscious & Co opened its doors in 2014 in Shelton “with just a few small chairs and team members, and has since expanded to over 4,000 square feet with 30 amazing team members,” Arindell said.
“Although we’ve been named the ‘Best Salon in Connecticut’ by CT Magazine, and are a seven-time recipient of The Knot’s best of beauty award, our greatest accomplishment has been serving amazing women throughout the Connecticut area,” she said.
The New Canaan Building Department on June 2 received an application for the interior fit-out on Main Street. The commercial space used to house Wave, a jewelry, home decor, accessories and gift shop that moved to Elm Street.
The application calls for an estimated $35,000 in renovation work in the 1,862-square-foot space, including for electrical and plumbing. A floor plan submitted to the Building Department shows 13 work stations, dedicated “Color Bar” and “Shampoo” areas and a separate “Hair Extension Room.”
