NewCanaanite.com is pleased to accept applications for its summer internship program, sponsored by Baskin Robbins.
Launched in January 2014 and with an office at 140 Elm St. downtown, the local news website seeks aspiring reporters with experience working against deadline, including for high school or college newspapers, to cover public meetings and police reports, feature stories and profiles on New Canaan businesses and residents.
Hours are flexible and interns can expect to finish the July-August program with presentable news clips, on-the-ground experience in digital community news coverage and training in the Broadstreet CMS and video shooting and editing as well as ad sales, site development and design.
