At about 1:49 p.m. on Feb. 18, officers responded to a residential alarm at a Silvermine neighborhood home, according to police Lt. Jason Ferraro.

Arriving, officers found a door that had been forced open and jewelry missing from the master bedroom, Ferraro said.

“New Canaan Police are asking any residents in the Silvermine area who have surveillance cameras that face the street to review video from today, Feb. 18, between the hours of 11 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. for any vehicles that might match the description listed of the suspect vehicles,” Ferraro said.

Residents are asked to contact the New Canaan Police Investigation Section at 203-594-3520 with any information.

“As a reminder set your house alarms, lock your doors, and if possible install surveillance cameras and report anything suspicious,” Ferraro said.
