Police before dawn on Sunday arrested a 22-year-old Westchester man for DUI after he tried to flee the scene of a single-car accident in New Canaan.
At about 3:50 a.m. on Oct. 23, officers were dispatched to Summer Street on a report of a vehicle attempting to flee the scene after striking a parked car, police said.
Officers found the West Harrison, N.Y. man and he appeared to be impaired, according to a police report.
The motorist failed field sobriety tests, the report said.
Police charged him with driving under the influence and evading responsibility, and cited him for failure to drive right.
He was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 3 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
