Police arrested a 50-year-old South Salem, N.Y. man by warrant last week in connection with a motor vehicle accident in July.
At about 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, the man turned himself in to police on charges of driving under the influence and failure to drive in the established lane.
Toxicology tests following a July 5 accident on Smith Ridge Road came back at nearly twice the legal limit, according to a police report.
The man had been transported to Norwalk Hospital after emergency responders found him down an embankment, inside a car that had crashed into a tree, the report said.
He was released on $150 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 4 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
