Police arrested a 40–year-old man following his wife’s report that he’d pushed their 8-year-old son to the floor during an argument on Saturday morning at a New Canaan residence.

The woman, also 40, came in to police headquarters with the boy at 9:57 a.m. on May 2 regarding the incident, according to a police report.

The argument had to do with a computer and the son cut his knee after he was pushed, according to the police report. The boy when interviewed by police said he had fallen, the report said.

The man, who gave an address of Baldwin Terrace in Fairfield, was charged with disorderly conduct and released him after promising to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Stamford.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the father had residency in New Canaan.
