Passed School Bus on Mead; Arrest after Mother-Daughter Dispute on Lakeview Avenue

A 42-year-old Park Street woman faces a $460 fine after passing a school bus that was stopped, with lights flashing and stop sign extended, on Mead Street after school earlier this month. At about 2:55 p.m. on Dec. 8 (a Monday), video surveillance showed, the woman passed the westbound school bus as she drove east on Mead (toward South Avenue), according to a police report. The school bus driver, a 60-year-old New Canaan resident, reported the violation to police on Dec. 15, the report said.
