Police late Thursday arrested a 25-year-old Norwalk man on misdemeanor drug and motor vehicle charges following a traffic stop in New Canaan.
At about 11:41 p.m., an officer stopped a motor vehicle traveling northbound on New Norwalk Road because it had a defective taillight, according to a police report.
The officer stopped the car on Old Kings Highway and, following an investigation, arrested him for possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, improper use of registration and failure to have tail lamps.
He was released after promising to appear Aug. 9 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
