Two New Canaan Men Arrested in Road Rage Incident

Police arrested two local men following a road rage incident last week.

At about 10:33 p.m. on May 28 (a Tuesday), officers received a report of a road rage incident on Valley Road that ended with a group of people throwing rocks at the victim’s car, breaking the driver’s side window.

Following an investigation, police arrested a 19-year-old New Canaan man (at 1 a.m. the following morning) and charged him with second-degree criminal mischief, after finding that he had thrown the rock that damaged the car. Police also arrested a 56-year-old New Canaan man (at 1:30 a.m.) and charged him with reckless driving.

They each were released after promising to appear this month in state Superior Court.
