Sunday Only: New Canaan Ornament Sale at Gores Pavilion

Volunteers have hand cut and hand painted these wooden ornaments that will be sold to benefit the New Canaan Historical Society. Judy Wiley, Judy Gilroy, Faith Kerchoff, Susie Landis, Tracey Karl and Margery Gardner. Headed by Faith Kerchoff, who creates the designs, a group of about 18 people meet once a week during the year to paint these one-of-a-kind ornaments. They will debut on Sun. Oct. 25 at Gores Pavilion in Irwin Park, with a reception from 3 to 5 p.m.…

The New Canaan Historical Society is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit at the Gores Pavilion in Irwin Park on June 1. A reception will be held that evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and the public is welcome. Elements of Design, this year’s summer show at the Gores Pavilion in Irwin Park, opens on May 11th. It features the work of four New Canaan High School seniors--Timothy Scranton, Eliza Pohle, Kate Lindberg and Sammi Smith. All artists are students in the Advanced Placement Studio Art 3-D Design class taught by Jeanne McDonagh.
