It has been called the largest concentration of gold ever found. 100,000 people tried to reach the Klondike Gold Fields. The gold rush was a frenzy that changed everyone whose lives touched the discovery, as well as the state of Alaska, the city of Seattle and the fortunes of men such as John Nordstrom, Frederick Trump, President Trump’s grandfather, and the author Jack London.
Among those who sought their fortune at the Klondike River was Dede Bartlett’s mother’s cousin, William Thomas Hearne. Dede will share photographs and stories of his adventures as a stampeder. You won’t want to miss this exciting story of the Alaskan gold rush.
