Police issued a Bowery Road man a $92 fine for nuisance dog after his German shepherd ran off-property and bit a woman walking by in the inner right thigh, puncturing her skin.
It happened on July 16 and the 2-year-old male dog has no history of biting, according to Animal Control Officer Maryann Kleinschmitt.
The dog’s owner emerged from the home, near Oenoke Ridge Road, and controlled his dog when he realized what happened.
The dog underwent a legally required 2-week quarantine at an area veterinarian, which ended Thursday, Kleinschmitt said.
