Police on Saturday night arrested a 59-year-old Stamford woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, officers were dispatched to the area of Waveny Park and New Canaan High School for a vehicle driving on a walking path, according to a police report.
There, place found the woman operating a vehicle wedged against a wooden guard rail, the report said.
On speaking to her, officers detected signs of impairment, it said. After administering field sobriety tests, she was taken into custody, police said. The woman refused to undergo a test to establish her blood-alcohol level, police said.
She additionally was cited for violating a town ordinance.
Police released the woman on $250 bond and scheduled her to appear Dec. 18 in state Superior Court.
