The town on last month received an application to build a new 4,800-square-foot home on a .36-acre property near South School.
The 2.5-story home planned for 120 Douglas Road will include five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half-bath and a two-car garage, according to a building permit application filed Nov. 23 with the New Canaan Building Department.
It will cost about $1 million to build, the application said.
The architect on the job is Stamford-based Flagship Custom Homes, the architect CD Design of Wilton, it said.
The property, with a 1950-built ranch-style house, sold for $715,000 in March, tax records show.
