Dolores T. Van Allen, 88, of New Canaan and Norwalk, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2022. She was born in New Canaan on February 9, 1934 to the late John and Dorothy Ezzo (Canzoni). Dolores was the beloved wife to Charles F. Van Allen.

Canaan School system as an aid in charge of running the Foreign Language Lab at Saxe Middle School. Additionally, she spent many years working in the Norwalk Public Library. She also loved to garden whenever she had time.
Dolores is survived by her two loving sons Richard Van Allen and his wife Pam of Prospect, CT and David Van Allen and his wife Margaret of Beacon Falls, CT. She also has four grandchildren; Richard Van Allen Jr., Carolyn Van Allen, Sara Pereiras and Heather Ramirez and 3 Great grandchildren: Ayden, Rilynn and Rylee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., at Saint Aloysius Church 23 Cherry Street, New Canaan. Family will receive friends and family from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Hoyt Funeral Home 199 Main Street, New Canaan. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Lakeview Cemetery.
