Police last week arrested a 46-year-old Thayer Drive woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 5:11 p.m. on May 4, officers responded the area of Route 123 at Lakeview Avenue on a report of an erratic driver, police said.
Officers found and stopped the vehicle, finding signs of impairment in the driver, according to a police report.
After conducting field sobriety tests, police arrested the woman on the misdemeanor charge and brought her to headquarters for processing, the report said.
There, she provided a breath sample that established her blood-alcohol level at .333, more than four times the legal limit of .08, it said.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear May 18 in state Superior Court.
I find it peculiar why there is not a name of the person arrested. You have all the details, street she lives on, age… but chose to not mention her name. Why?
We do not publish the names of arrested people except in cases where there’s a felony-level assault or more serious charge, an assault on a police officer or where there’s an actual public safety reason for informing our readers of a person’s identity—for example, with a scamming contractor or a thieving nanny. The reason we withhold the names of arrested people in most all cases is that publishing someone’s name online in that way can create problems never intended by the criminal justice system—problems where people cannot get a job or a date or otherwise suffer in terms of their reputation, since search engines are now so strong and so commonly used.
