Investigations: Thefts from Parked Cars around Town

Police want New Canaanites to know that there have been numerous vehicle break-in around town and that at this time of year it is important to take precautions. It is important to lock your vehicle and not leave anything of value in it, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, public information officer for NCPD. ***
Police received a report of larceny from a motor vehicle parked at a Turtle Back Road home on Friday afternoon at 3:46 p.m.
The complainant, a 54-year-old female, told police that some time between 3:30 p.m. on June 4 and 5 a.m. the following morning, a wallet containing a credit card, debit card, driver’s license and $50 cash had been stolen from her car. The car had been left unlocked.
