Olivia Edwards

Olivia Edwards is a member of the New Canaan High School class of 2027 and a competitive swimmer with Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club. She serves as a Voting Athlete At Large on the Connecticut Swimming Athlete Committee, where she represents athletes across Connecticut and helps develop new ideas for swimmers and their families. She has represented CT in national conferences in DC and Denver. Outside the pool, Olivia has completed more than 150 hours of community service through the National Charity League. She’s also been involved with the Hope Rocks event since its first year and is helping the MindWell Center run the 2026 event.

Suicide is a growing public health crisis. Each year, nearly 49,000 people in the United States die by suicide—a figure that is difficult to comprehend. For a long time, it has been discussed, quietly, with many people too scared to speak out, hidden away, or met with silence that lingers. That silence doesn’t help anyone; in fact, it can make things even lonelier for those who are struggling.
