Police on Monday arrested a 41-year-old New Canaan woman by warrant and charged her with third-degree burglary, first- and third-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree larceny.
At about 3:23 p.m. last Wednesday, officers were dispatched to a Millport Avenue residence regarding a report of vandalism to the victim’s vehicle and a burglary at the victim’s residence, police said.
After speaking to the victim, officers determined that the woman was the suspect and had a domestic relationship with the victim, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, police obtained a warrant for her arrest, it said.
On Monday, an officer on patrol who was aware of the warrant conducted a motor vehicle stop of a car she was driving, the report said.
She was taken into custody and processed at police headquarters.
Police held the Millport Avenue woman on a $20,000 bond and scheduled her to appear Tuesday in state Superior Court.
