Donald Miller Moyle, Sr., 92

Donald Miller Moyle, Sr. September 9, 1931 – March 22, 2024 

Donald Miller Moyle, Sr. died on March 22, 2024 in Vero Beach, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Betty Lou “BL” Moyle, and two children, Jean Moyle Rogers of Highland, California and Donald Miller Moyle, Jr. of New Canaan, Connecticut. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Judy Lou Marien of Big Water, Utah. 

Don was born in Yonkers, NY and later lived in Grosse Pointe, MI; Winnetka, IL; New Canaan and Wilton, CT; Southold, NY and Vero Beach, FL. He loved all of these places, however, he always called Connecticut his home. 

Don was cherished and admired as a loving husband, devoted father, accomplished businessman, loyal friend, and fierce but friendly competitor.

Erin O’Brion Page, 67

Erin O’Brion Page, of Austin,TX and formerly of New Canaan CT, passed away after a long and courageous battle with AML leukemia on March 21, 2024. Her faith, hope and positive spirit carried her through until the very end. Erin was born on May 29, 1956, in Austin, TX, daughter of Frances Van Meter deButts Page and George Matthews Page whose family lived in Texas for generations. Although Erin was born and raised in Texas, she considered herself to be very much a Virginian, summering with family in Upperville, VA and graduating from The Madeira School in McLean, VA.  Erin attended the University of Texas at Austin, was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, and graduated with a BFA in Studio Art and minor in art history from Ithaca College. Upon graduation, she spent twelve years working on 7th Avenue in the heart of NYC’s Fashion District.

Edwin Michael Millette, 81

Edwin Michael Millette age 81 passed away peacefully Easter Morning, Sunday, March 31, 2024.  He was the loving husband of Deborah Bernard. He was born on March 30, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois.  Always devoted to his Catholic Faith journey, he raised the funds and built his first church, St. Fabians, at the age of 17 in Bridgeview Illinois.  He had a great appreciation for the Socratic education that he received from the various monks in the Greater Chicago area. As a young adult, Ed accepted a request from the Vatican to study the Focolare Movement and the effects of communal living.  He continued to be of service throughout his life and cherished mentoring everyone he encountered to help them discover their own faith journey. Mary Theresa Bohmer Ward, 87

Mary Theresa Bohmer Ward died at her home on Jonathan Road in New Canaan, Connecticut on Easter Sunday (March 31) after a long illness. Beloved wife of Dan, mother Kathy, and grandmother of Rebecca and Andrew, Mary was born in New York City in October of 1936. Her parents later moved to Caldwell, New Jersey where she attended the public schools.  

Mary received a degree in education from the University of Vermont where she was a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society.  After a year of teaching, she became a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from which she received a Master’s Degree. 

After living in Falmouth, Maine, she moved with her family to Caldwell, New Jersey and later to New Canaan in 1975. 

A travel agent for many years, she specialized in travel for rowing teams, with the United States National Teams and Harvard among her clients.  Mary was an active parishioner of St. Aloysius where her activities included leadership of Mother Theresa’s Closet which provides clothing to people in need.  

The wake will be held on Sunday, April 7 from 1-3pm at the Hoyt Funeral Home in New Canaan. The funeral mass will be held at 10am on Monday, April 8, at Saint Aloyisius Church in New Canaan.

James Franklin Dam, age 49, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Chesterfield, Missouri. He was born in St. Charles, Missouri on February 28, 1974 to Erik and Joan Dam (nee Flori). Jamie was a Police Officer for O’Fallon and Frontenac Police Departments for over 16 years. Jamie was an avid outdoorsman and hiker.
