Friends of longtime New Canaanite Mau DiFulvio are asking for help through a GoFundMe page after he suffered multiple injuries in a car crash on the Route 7 connector in Norwalk, including a brain bleed, broken shoulder, ribs and spine, and a neck fracture. “Mau has been in the Norwalk Hospital’s ICU receiving round-the-clock treatment and getting the best care he desperately needs,” said the GFM page, set up by Chrissy Kanuch and Karen Hussey. “His doctors have also discovered another medical issue unbeknownst to Mau, which he will need to handle once he heals. We are reaching out to let you know that we have started this Go Fund Me page to raise money to help Mau and his family pay for his mounting medical bills because he has no medical insurance. Your donation will also assist Emily with the upkeep of expenses associated with paying a mortgage and raising a toddler while Mau will be out of work for the unforeseeable future.” Please see the GoFundMe page here for more background.

This year’s stickers inform the community about the dangers of vaping and also include vaping cessation information for teens. New Canaan CARES’ Education and Program Manager Maureen Asiel, who also leads the New Canaan Coalition, said in a press release: “We appreciate the continued participation from New Canaan teens to create vaping messages for their peers.
